Denise Young, PT

Denise received her Bachelor’s in physical therapy in 1991 from the University of Vermont. She joined Therapy Steps Inc in 2010 and has over 30 years of experience as a pediatric physical therapist. She has evaluated and treated children from birth to 21 years of age with neurological and orthopedic diagnoses in the clinic, home, school and hospital settings in her career. Prior to moving to Georgia in 2009, she worked in North Carolina and Alabama. Her clinical experience includes treating children with a wide variety of diagnoses including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, stroke, head injury, spina bifida, premature birth, amputees, spinal cord injury, chromosomal abnormalities/syndromes, and visual and hearing impairement. She is also experienced in the ordering of adaptive equipment, wheelchairs, and orthotics/prosthetics. Denise has participated in continuing education including NDT for babies, kinesiotaping, wheelchair rand adaptive equipment, electrical stimulation modalities, therapeutic Pilates, and casting/splinting/taping. Deniise received her clinical certification on use of TheraSuit™/Universal Exercise Unit leading multidisciplinary intensive programs. . Denise provides intensive therapy in our Sandyy Springs clinic. She also provides home visits in the Roswell and Alpharetta area. Denise lives in Roswell with her husband and 2 daughters.
