Cathy Shephard, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Cathy has a vast body of experience having worked in pediatrics (out-patient and school system), in neurorehabilitation at several trauma units, Emory hospital and the Shepherd Spinal Center in a variety of roles including occupational therapy director and manager of outreach services. She leads a weekly program at Gigi’s playhouse to provide resources to children with Down Syndrome and previously worked to establish the OT program and Georgia School for the Deaf, Cave Springs, GA. Cathy has a passion to educate and empower the families she works with. Her continuing education spans several topics including Visual Processing Therapy, Using Nutrition & Supplementation as Tools in Treating Children with Sensory & Behavioral Issues, and the use of orthoses for postural control. Cathy received her Masters in psychology from West Georgia College and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from University of Minnesota.
